Your Birth Your Baby

What is HypnoBirthing?

Television shows and movies portray birth as dramatic, difficult, scary and something you have to get through in order to be able to meet your baby.

I teach HypnoBirthing because I love seeing parents leave after that first class knowing more about the physiology of birth and excited to learn techniques in breathing, visualisation and relaxation to help them in pregnancy and on their birthing day.

By the time you leave after the fifth session you and your birth partner will be calm and confident and know that whatever turn your birthing takes you are empowered to make the decisions that are right for you and your baby.

Group Classes

"Thank you so much for the last 5 weeks. Andrew and I found the sessions very helpful.  Rather than doing a crash course of condensed sessions over a weekend, this 5 week course helped us practice visualisations and relaxation in between sessions in our own time!"

Yes you absolutely can learn hypnobirthing from a book or videos online but the 5 week course is the perfect space to really understand birth and what will help YOU to relax and let your body and your baby work in harmony together.

Think of it as personal training sessions for one of the most important days of your life! As a bonus you get to meet other parents-to-be who will be going through parenting stages at the same time as you and this support can be invaluable.

It takes place at the beautiful Maqam Centre, Wrentham Avenue, London, NW10 3HJ

This is a great location to be familiar with for once your baby is born as local NCT coffee mornings are held in their cafe on a Tuesday and there is a gorgeously warm swimming pool for lessons for babies, adults and children.

The next course runs on Mondays from April 2020:

20th, 27th April and 4th, 11th and 18th May at 6.30-9pm

I usually recommend to take the course from 20 weeks of pregnancy.

Private courses

If you would prefer to have a course in the privacy of your own home please contact me for availability.

If you are very near to your birthing time or if this is your second baby and attending a group course would be difficult, please do call or email me to discuss special arrangements for your circumstances.

I am a qualified Clinical Psychologist who has been working with children and families for over 15 years.

Once pregnant with my son, my husband and I attended HypnoBirthing Classes and found the tools and techniques so invaluable.

I subsequently trained to deliver HypnoBirthing and was able to really put these ideas into practice when my daughter was born in an unplanned home birth in our en-suite bathroom!

I am eager to support parents-to-be to have an informed and empowered birth experience.
